Week 6

Room 2 have had a busy few weeks, learning about our body and how it works. We have learnt some dances and songs to help us remember different parts of our body and our bones. All of us are working very hard in Reading, Writing and Maths; we have enjoyed showing Mrs Scott and Mrs B what we have been learning when they came to visit us. They asked us questions about what we were learning and what sort of things we did in Room 2; we could tell them lots of exciting activities we do. We love having Mrs Martyn on a Friday, and learning funny jokes.

Our Friday visual arts programme has involved learning skills to help us weave with paper and this will later be developed to hopefully include weaving with natural materials. We are looking at the maths strand of geometry with the emphasis on position & orientation which means we are using language to describe & locate position Including compass directions – hence the note home asking which rooms in your house see the sun first(East) & last(West) in the day. Our Jokes & riddles can be quite funny and we will bring our collection home to share with you when this is complete. Mrs Martyn is really enjoying her Fridays with Room 2 – thanks Room 2.
